This is my deviantart account... mostly have it so I can keep track of artist friends and favorite artists. I'm sadly not a visual artist myself I'm more of a writer and musician type. The musician part, I've not had much chance to practice, but have plenty of projects that my husband and I would like to do.

As for writing, I've done everything from fanfic to roleplaying (forum and real-time on OpenRPG, with people who are good and descriptive writers, so... I think it counts as writing!) to penning original stories now and then... which may or may not be published one day. No, I'm not expecting to make a living off my art, I'm actually (or aspiring to be) a web admin / sysadmin by trade.

I wish I had something to put on this site to make it look less plain though. Rawr... I used to do some drawings years and years ago for my old site, Mieu Sedai's Reality. I suppose I could become a better artist if I practiced, but it'd take many, many years I could be honing my writing or programming skills.

Now and then I ask for art commissions, particularly of the Dark Siren and Ryshassa. They are my two most-used avatars that I identify with, online and in my various creations. The Siren is the namesake for my website / domain, and Ryshassa, well... she's complicated, and very, very much reflecting the "me" I rarely talk about to people. I've taken on plenty of other personae online, in games and RPs I play in -- others of note are Atmadja, Ryshassa's fiesty younger sister, and Reina Hidalgo, my sci-fi MMO avatar.

So what else about me... um, I'm married, I'm American but moved to Canada to be with my husband. I have no children, and currently no pets. I'm a bit of a recluse, I prefer solitary or small-group activities in my free time, and I can get pretty gloomy / depressed at times. But in my best of moods I think I am a pretty friendly and open-minded person.
